Description

CIIS is running one year (certificate) Mechanical engineering program to have advanced standings in to 2nd year (3rd Semester) of the Mechanical Engineering with two academic semesters and one work term of CIIS’s 1st year.

Mechanical technology is a cornerstone of sophisticated and advanced economies. This program equips students with the skills to apply scientific and engineering principles to solve mechanical engineering – related problems, and undertake the design and fabrication of mechanical apparatus and systems. These include automation and control systems, manufacturing processes and material handling systems which can be found in industries as diverse as automotive, aerospace, food processing and manufacturing equipment fabrication.

All students successfully completing the CIIS program will be granted “Advanced standings’” in to 2nd yr (3rd Semester) of the Mechanical Engineering Technology at Georgian College


CIIS Admission Requirements:

Must passed 12th Standard with Mathematics or 10+3 Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering English Language: 72% in 12th standard’s English or IELTS 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each module All students must be interviewed by the Georgian Academic coordinator prior to start of the Program


Career Opportunities

Graduates may find a range of occupations in automotive assembly and parts manufacturing companies. Graduates may participate in an engineer-technologist-technician team in mechanical consulting, manufacturing

or design. Careers are possible in design, production, quality assurance, testing, management, technical sales and service. Automotive parts and assembly, metal fabricating and plastic moulding industries are among graduate employers.


Career Path

CIIS Year 1
  • Academic Semester 1 and 2 at CIIS During Fall and Winter
  • Score 60% to pass each course
  • Should get minimum 60% marks in previous semester to be eligible for Co-op in Summer
  • 12-14 weeks full time work term

Transfer to GC Canada
  • Compulsory Transfer to GC Canada in Semester 3
  • Good Academic Standing in year 1
  • 6.0 bands overall in IELTS and 5.5 in each module for GC

Equivalent number of years of work visa available after 1-2 years of study in Canada
