CIIS is running one year Automotive Business certificate program to have advanced standings in to 2nd year (3rd Semester) of the Automotive Business Program of Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario, Canada

The Automotive Business program prepares individuals for professional and essential support positions in the automotive industry sectors such as dealerships and the aftermarket industry. Students are also provided with opportunities to explore possibilities of entrepreneurship within the automotive industry. The program includes introductory business courses and specific automotive courses that explore various facets of the automotive industry. The co-operative work experience is a vital component of the program allowing students to confirm their career choice and to develop a network to establish their career path. Graduates of the program will have the skills, knowledge, and experience to assume a position in a broad range of organizations within the automotive industry


Admission Requirements:

Grade 12 Arts or Commerce (12th all clear) with Mathematics pass in Grade 10
All students will be interviewed by the Georgian Academic Coordinator prior to start of the Program
Applicants must have 72% or above in Grade 12 English and/or IELTS with an Overall of 6.0 Bands& 5.5 in each module (at the time of transfer).


Career Opportunities

Conducting business in the automotive industry has become more sophisticated which increases demand for multiskilled personnel. Employment opportunities abound in Dealership Operations including Parts, Sales, Service, Leasing & Financing, as well as in the fast developing Automotive Aftermarket sector. Positions in Dealerships, Aftermarket Businesses, Wholesale, Retail, Finance, and in other automotive related industries are being advertised in Canada's major newspapers, in automotive magazines, and on manufacturer's websites.


Career Path

CIIS Year 1
  • Academic Semester 1 and 2 at CIIS During Fall and Winter
  • Score 60% to pass each course
  • Should get minimum 60% marks in previous semester to be eligible for Co-op in Summer
  • 12-14 weeks full time work term

Transfer to GC Canada
  • Compulsory Transfer to GC Canada in Semester 3
  • Good Academic Standing in year 1
  • 6.0 bands overall in IELTS and 5.5 in each module for GC

Equivalent number of years of work visa available after 1-2 years of study in Canada
